Pio II Chianti Riserva is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes carefully selected from our oldest vines and is aged for a minimum of 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The meticulous selection of the grapes and patient ageing in traditional oak allow us to achieve the finest expression that the territory has to offer. The color is bright, intense ruby ​​red with violet reflections. The aroma is that of red fruits, cherry, floral and dried fruit, with spicy, balsamic notes, black pepper, cloves, blackberries, blueberry and hints of vanilla. The palate is dry, sapid, delicate tannin, harmonious, velvety, full-bodied, vinous and elegant, the balance of great thickness prevails in the mouth. It pairs with both national and international cuisine first courses, roast meat, truffles, spiced or tomato-based fish, fresh and dried cheeses, beans, game and soups of all kinds.
